What is "DERBY"?
Named for the eyelet section resembling a horse racing gate, these shoes are commonly called Derby, or in some European countries like England and France, also referred to as 'Derby'.

The Goodyear Welt Construction
A construction method where the upper, insole, and sole are stitched together with a thin piece of leather called welt, enhancing water resistance since no stitching reaches the midsole directly from the ground.

Military boots designed for durability feature a three-layer sole construction of insole, cork filler, and outsole that molds to the wearer’s foot shape the more they are worn, akin to a custom-fitted insole.





British Commando Soles
Suitable for extended walking, these soles adjust to the shape of the foot the more they are worn. They provide better grip, durability, and water resistance compared to leather soles, ensuring safety even on rainy days.

With a clean look that’s not too casual, these soles are a staple for city walking in the UK, with some people even opting to resole their shoes to this type.
